About the course projects

The course projects is an extremely important part of DAT255, and you'll likely spend close to half your time in the course doing project work.

There are two different kinds of projects in DAT255:

  1. A larger-scale project that you will work on during most weeks of the course, where you'll get to build an interesting real-world deep learning-based application. These projects are part of the course requirements, and must be passed for you to be allowed to take the exam. They are graded pass/fail. See Course project for details: DAT255 course project.
  2. Mini-projects: these are smaller-scale projects that'll take somewhere between 3-6 hrs to complete. The combination of a large scale project + one or more mini-projects are meant to expose you to the wide variety of practical applications of deep learning. See Mini-projects for details: Mini-projects.
