Course Syllabus

This video based introductory course intends to inspire and guide you in the creation of your own digital story. The focus of this course is on content creation, rather than technical training. It is assumed that the participants in this course will use various methods or software applications depending on what they have access to and are comfortable using, therefore the focus will be to provide general tips and information about crafting your concept and script, recording audio, and using visuals and sound effects, rather than providing technical training about any particular piece of software.

The process of producing your own digital story is broken down into five phases:

1. Concept development

2. The script

3. Content production

4. Assembly

5. Publishing / Sharing

It is recommended to watch the videos in order, and refer back to videos if needed when working in a particular phase. But feel free to choose to use the videos as resources in a way that is helpful to you.
