The maritime industry is has reinvented itself multiple times. The next transformation is right around the corner, and it will be driven by data and the use of artificial intelligence. Autonomous shipping has been discussed for years, and there are more prototypes and projects in this space with each year. But how far off is such a vessel? How does the data that we are seeing be collected within our current vessels play a role in this? This module will explore these kinds of questions, and give us a glimpse into a possible future with increase assistive technology within vessels in the form of augmented and virtual reality and artificial intelligence.
